Hardcore fans of my previous 7 posts will be delighted to hear that I've conned another friend (read: sucker) into letting me offer up my particular brand of seriously untutored but strong opinions about interior design.

The first task I was entrusted with for Chateau Kanata is inspiration for an eventual white-on-white-on-white kitchen reno.

I'll admit that it's been challenging finding something unique and beautiful amidst a sea of bland subway tiles. Thankfully, this morning, Design Sponge has offered up a worthy sneak peak:

It's been hard to find some good inspirational office decor porn. Maybe something about working just doesn't lend itself to "sexy" very well.

I really like a lot of what's going on in this home.

Clean simple modern neutrals, organic elements, a bit of shine, some antiques. Overall a sense of relaxed elegance. A little bedside French.

Now, I know that a preference was expressed for a glass dining table, but I admit to having a HEAVY personal bias against glass for tables. They just seem cold somehow and always look dirty.

Hence, I'm unapologetically hard-selling wood or even high-gloss white.
